Catherine Hills
This two-part solid silver heart pendant necklace has been designed by, international award winning and celebrated Harry Potter jeweller, Catherine Hills. It has been especially created for the British Heart Foundations, Target the Heart, show at the Contemporary Applied Arts.
The heart is in two pieces; one half smooth and one half highly textured, a feature in much of Catherine's work. Both halves nestle together on the chain, so it symbolises two hearts come together as one.
Catherine’s jewellery is inspired by natural forms, the work combines sensuous liquid shapes with smooth, crisp and highly finished surfaces. Oxidised or polished silver is used in juxtaposition with yellow gold to produce a striking colour contrast.
